easter is a popular holiday in canada. some people view it as a religious holiday, while other people don’t celebrate the religious part. we’re going to talk about both subjects, as they are both important to how canadians celebrate easter.

easter is a holiday that follows the lunar calendar, which means it doesn’t happen on the same days every year, like christmas or canada day. if you’re religious, easter is about the death and return of jesus christ. for those who are not religious, easter is a time to gather with family for a day of fun games and traditions.
每年的复活节的日期都不一样，因为它是一个阴历的节日。所以，它跟其他的节日，比如圣诞节和加拿大国庆日，都不太一样。从宗教节日的角度来看，复活节是关于基督耶稣的受难和复活。对于那些没有宗教信仰的人来说，复活节是与家人聚在一起玩游戏和庆祝传统的时间。
we focus now on the non-religious easter. a lot of its traditions are borrowed from religious easter, but there are certain details that aren’t religious, like the easter bunny.

the easter bunny is a story that parents tell their children of a giant rabbit who brings children toys and chocolates for easter. sometimes, the easter bunny also hides special easter eggs around the house and yard for the children to find. we call this an easter egg hunt.
