Story 1：
The Thirsty Pigeon口渴的鸽子
A pigeon, oppressed by excessive thirst, saw a goblet of water painted on a signboard. Not supposing it to be only a picture, she flew towards it with a loud whir and unwittingly dashed against the signboard, jarring herself terribly. Having broken her wings by the blow, she fell to the ground, and was caught by one of the bystanders.
有只鸽子口渴得很难受，看见画板上画着一个水瓶，以为是真的。他立刻呼呼地猛飞过 去，不料一头碰撞在画板上，折断了翅膀，摔在地上，被人轻易地捉住了。
Story 2：
A blond decides to go ice fishing one day. She takes her stool and her fishing pole onto the ice, and cuts a big hole. Then a voice says:“There are no fish under the ice”

Perplexed, the blond moves her stool 100 feet, sits down again and goes to work cutting another hole. Again, the voice said:“There are no fish under the ice”

Finally, she can’t take it. She cries out, “God, is that you?”

Story 3：
A man goes into a bar with his dog. He goes up to the bar and asks for a drink.

The bartender says “You can’t bring that dog in here!” The guy, without missing a beat, says “This is my seeing-eye dog.”

“Oh man, ” the bartender says, “I’m sorry, here, the first one’s on me.” The man takes his drink and goes to a table near the door.

Another guy walks into the bar with a Chihuahua. The first guys sees him, stops him and says “You can’t bring that dog in here unless you tell him it’s a seeing-eye dog.”
另外一个人带着一只吉娃娃走进酒吧。第一个人看见了他，把他拦下，说“你不能把狗带进来，除非你跟他们说这是一只导盲犬。”
The second man graciously thanks the first man and continues to the bar. He asks for a drink. The bartender says “Hey, you can’t bring that dog in here!”
第二个人谢过了第一个人，走向吧台。他要一杯饮料。招待说：“嗨，你不能把那只狗带进来!”
The second man replies “This is my seeing-eye dog.” The bartender says, “No, I don’t think so. They do not have Chihuahuas as seeing-eye dogs.”

The man pauses for a half-second and replies “What?!?! They gave me a Chihuahua?!?”

Story 4：
Five Months Older 大五个月
The Second World War had begun, and John wanted to join the army, but he was only 16 years old, and boys were allowed to join only if they were over 18. So when the army doctor examined him, he said that he was 18.
But John‘s brother had joined the army a few days before, and the same doctor had examined him too. This doctor remembered the older boy‘s family name, so when he saw John‘s papers, he was surprised.
“How old are you?” he said.
“Eighteen, sir,” said John.
“But your brother was eighteen, too,” said the doctor. “Are you twins?”
“Oh, no, sir,” said John, and his face went red. “My brother is five months older than I am.”
