1.reporter:why you came to maple leaf?
webster: there are many reasons, but the main point may be that maple leaf international school is very famous in canada.
2.reporter: where did you graduate and when you were a student how about your study situation?
mr.webster: w i received my master’s degrees in history and education from the universities of victoria, british columbia and calgary.in fact, in my school days, i was just an ordinary boy.i also had a hard time getting my grades up.i had to concentrate all my attention on the class, which was very tiring.fortunately, in my college life, the environment of the three universities was very beautiful, and the teachers were excellent. i also gained a group of good friends.
3.reporter: from your own perspective, what is the different between the chinese education and the bc education?
mr.webster: in my opinion, chinese education may be more biased towards traditional education. he will give you a lot of homework to help you consolidate your knowledge, and students in chinese-style education may receive a number of knowledge points that foreign high school students have not been exposed to in high school. they may be more focused on your grades. bc education, on the other hand, focuses more on the openness of the classroom. we acknowledge that results are very important for a student, but we also want our students to be confident in meeting their future life. we want them to try and dare to show themselves in life.
4.reporter:what is your teaching goal?
mr.webster: i will give my students the courage to try things they have never tried in class or even in life. i hope i can give them some of the qualities necessary to be a good person. for example, i want them to be respectful and responsible. to my relief, almost all of them already have both.
5.reporter:if you students get the terrible mark, what will you do ?
webster: i will advise them go to my tutorial in thursday afternoon. because the course i’m teaching now is language leader, and i own my language leader as well. therefore i might let the language leader in my class help these students.
